My Work Experience

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I aim to help you explore your emotions and gain the clarity necessary to achieve personal growth.

Since graduating Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, with a Masters of Social Work, I have helped clients address their mental health needs in a supportive therapeutic environment.  I worked as a Social Worker in an outpatient mental health clinic, treating individuals with a variety of mental health diagnoses.  I also worked in the child welfare system as a Trauma Therapist.  I specialized in working with adolescent trauma survivors, helping survivors develop emotional and behavioral regulation skills to manage Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms.  I have been trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Trauma Systems Therapy (TST).  In addition to my trauma training, I have participated in training related to grief and loss issues, as well as how to empower clients to cope with mental health challenges.

My written work has been published in the Encyclopedia of Human Services and Diversity.

I consider myself to be a Relational Therapist.  Therefore, my therapeutic practice views interpersonal relationships as a crucial element in sustaining emotional well-being.  I can help you work through issues related to interpersonal conflict, life transitions, stress management, and a variety of mental health disorders.
